Piper is a fun, athletic mare with tons of personality. She isn't particularly hot, but is a busy-minded mare, with the spunk you would expect from a talented young athlete. This mare has an extremely solid foundation, and is a very sensible and smart mare. She is very suitable for a capable YR or AA, or very enjoyable for a professional to continue developing.  She is a hard worker, likes to please, and loves adventures, so we would love to see her in a program with lots of variety. She has been stalled, and in a "boarder" setting with individual turnout; while good in the stall, she gets bored in the small paddock, and is best suited to a large, group turnout (or is a super fun and personable mare to have at home). She is bred for the H/J rings, has lovely balanced gaits, and quick, clean knees down the chute. She also has the heart and boldness needed for a promising eventer, and would excel in any direction her rider wanted to go. We picked her up in October 2021 (as part of our development program), and she has been professionally developed and started. Piper has been hauled to various facilities, attended obstacle days, is competent in her groundwork basics, lunges WTC, ground drives/long lines (walking), steps up to the mounting block, is great with kids, exposed to dogs/minis/cattle, has popped over (very) small XC fences (in-hand) including a ditch. She is good with the flag and sacking out, has been ponied (with and without a rider), is lunging (WT) with a rider, ties great, and loads/hauls well. She does well with her bridle on, but is a bit of a giraffe when bridling, so we have been working on that, and is still very unsure about her steering (which is why she is currently on the lunge and being ponied). We like to ensure positive training experiences, and build confidence in our mounts.
