"Escape to Narnia" - Aravis

13.3hh, 2014 Welsh/WB Sport Pony, Mare

Scopey & Talented H/J/Eventing/Dresage/ Working EQ mount

*Will be schooling XC at Alhambra, June 7th*

Lovely jump form, with lots of scope, and bold to fences. She will make a fantastic pony for a competitive JR/YR/AA looking for a straight-forward, talented pony, ready to go in any direction. With lines pulling from sport Welsh, Warmblood, and Thoroughbred lines, this talented mare will give her rider a mount to enjoy for many years. She has a very solid foundation for a rider to continue to bring along. She has been hauled to a new place, and was ridden by a 10y/o, with gusting wind and thunder, and was completely unfazed. This is one of those saintly ponies that we all dream of!

She had a later start to life, and was un-handled until she was 5. For this reason, she must continue in a 4+ day a week working with a coach.

She was purchased by a sales barn, where she had three months of handling/groundwork, and was put through the chute (jumped 1.15m).

I purchased her as a project, Fall 2019, and she continued in a light groundwork/basics/desensitizing program. (Unfortunately limited by weather). She was backed, February 2020, had a few rides, was hauled to a couple other facilities to school. March/April, she went to Extreme Stables to get some miles With Leah Breakey, Master Key Eventing (to work in an indoor, get used to going in/out of a barn/stall, and get used to being in a busier arena, etc).  She came home for May to get more miles outside, in the pasture, a variety of riders, get used to the crazy dogs/small children again, and has been doing very well. She has been ground driven/long lined/ lunged all over the varied terrain in our quarter-section. She has been lunged over larger fences  (SJ, and XC), been ridden by a JR & w/t leadline with a 4y/o rider, started over small fences and introducing coursework, and is in a full program. She will be schooling XC in early June.

I can't say enough good things about this pony, and would love to see her stay in my "circle". She has no mean bone in her body, and no desire to pull anything naughty. She is not a pony you will muscle around!!! She isn't "mare-ish", but is sensitive. She hauls great, ties for hours without pawing/fidgeting/chewing. Aravis is a suitable fit for a competitive JR in a program, or a small AA, and would excel in any direction.
